Sovereign Threads: A History of
Palestinian Embroidery is currently on display at the Craft and Folk
Art Museum in Los Angeles, CA. The exhibit includes Palestinian costumes from
Bethlehem, Jerusalem region, Ramallah, Hebron, Jaffa region, Ramleh, Lydda,
Asduud, Gaza region and Beer El Sabe. Also on display are contemporary
embroidery work by Palestinian refugees in Lebanon sponsored by Inaash
Association of Beirut Lebanon. Three of the costumes on display are on loan from
the Committee to Preserve the Palestinian Heritage.
